Saturn is a very special planet, I’ve come to love what is represents, particularly in the wild times we live in. This earthly realm is fascinating and I’m glad to be here , now, with everyone. Thank you Eric for this beautiful piece and for the deer update. I’m so happy that they have made it through this winter. Lots of love 🧡
great line, it's like a theme song running in my head 24/7....."Saturn is saying: come back to Earth. Get your feet on the ground and look around. Yes, it’s awkward. But it sure did take you a long time to get here, against astonishing odds. And here you are, on this planet, right now."
This is a powerful vision/narrative. The fascinating aspect for me (Aries Sun and Aries Rising) is that my life is on the exact path that the map of astrology is describing. I don’t “believe” in astrology. But I see it as a symbolic road map, not a predictor. And as such, Planet Waves is unique. Thank you.
Exactly, TE. Astrology is a common dream-vision we can share. The notions of "causation" and "prediction" are rendered irrelevant by light-speed, everything-at-once electrical contitions, and they never worked so good previously. I was looking at a 19th century book yesterday and it was all laced with ideas about "the effects" of the planets. Well, maybe it seemed that way. This was long before Jung introduced us to the concept of synchronicity or meaningful acausal coincidence. So in this dream we have three factors: archetypes, synchronicity and cycles. Astrology requires the use of the imagination and is, in effect, a work of fiction — like a dream — but a kind of "true enough" fiction that can be considered and evaluated as a hypothetical; it's a great starting point, if used with a light touch. And it is most excellent as a complex map of time here in 3D...
Archetypes, synchronicity and patterns as the three factors of astrology, and then using our imagination to create a “true enough” fiction then to be evaluated with a light touch. I love that, Eric! It appeals to how I’ve approached and written fiction, and our present reality often feels stranger than fiction or, as I’ve put it to friends, too on-the-nose to be accepted by critics of fiction. Not meaning to make light of their tragic deaths, but the last names of Rene Good and Alex Pretti seem like one example of that. Since there’s an axiom that unfortunate things happen in threes, I keep expecting someone to be named Phillip True to be killed next, so the Good, the Beautiful and the True will all have been taken out. Put that in a work of fiction and an editor will likely demand a re-write! Such is the nature of our digital reality.
Now that I’ve read this, i realize that I had not quite appreciated enough the importance of the event of Saturn & Neptune in Aires simultaneously. This really hit me.
The essential dignities are not so well understood. I have Mercury in detriment. I'm one heck of a writer and just as good as a public speaker. But I have to work at it: nonstop practice.
As someone born with Saturn in Pisces, the arrival of Aries feels necessary and welcome. Having awareness of how the digitization of humanity has already impacted boundaries and will continue to do so, is helping me with clarifying and maintaining my own. Deer medicine also seems necessary and welcome during this time. Thank you for all the deer updates, Eric!

"All technology conditions people to become like it." - Wow, this was powerful!

Between you and me, Eric, you're a great public speaker. And I was a Brown Institute graduate with a first class FCC license. I should know.
I feel it. Saturn is in detriment. Happens while the Sun is opposite my Pluto. Joy🙄
