With apologies to all the spiritually focused men out there, I have something for ladies who are looking for a more emotionally expressive man willing to take up some of the emotional labor.
You know what I'm going to say. What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understaaa-anding! Jerry Garcia started smoking pot at age 15 and look where it got him? Believe that he is Grateful!
Just fun. And, I can relate. Wouldn't it be nice if they spoke woman?? But then, that's not a challenge. Truly caring for individual men is a schooling. (Though I absolutely agree with you about the hobby thing...totally critical.) Your essay made me think about the man side of the "spirituality" dynamic. There's no altar at the woodshop or in the hydroponic testing grounds, but the moral code is woven into it all, and bo staff of justice is always handy. With it, the "compound" feels in balance.
I'm a man with many interests that would be called womanly — except primping, preening or any form of vanity. However, handcrafts, herbalism, midwifery, dressmaking, food in all forms, generally taking care of people — all are as interesting to me as doing battle with Monsanto or the virus establishment. However, I know when I'm called to the front lines.
Excellent writer...just enough EDGE to be funny, but not intimidating. I've given up figuring out men. They're an alien species.. We have to take them as they are.....or not. Blessings.
Darling you have been deceived. You've only been convinced by certain separatist political movements that they are alien. We are all human and nature designed us to compliment one another, not to substitute or compete.
PS I love the way you write and think, please don't take me wrong. I know I didn't address the fact most men aren't spiritual. I've found some very high minded men that are my good friends, but the ones I get involved with are just men, stuck in the old paradigm.
they are in their own way. This whole article is a satire. And it is my experience and understanding that men express themselves around women only in the ways they feel safe and like their vulnerability will not be used against them.
I was being facetious.....and trying to be funny. Men don't emote much, women often emote too much. Of course we complement each other. I even like them!
I just saw this. I'm not sure I want a "spiritual" man. Not sure exactly what that means. I'm a loner by choice. I live out in the mountains of North Carolina by choice, 15 miles from any town, so I just meet who I meet and I don't go looking for anything. I'm in my 70's now and I LIKE men. Younger men pursue me and I don't mind. Mostly good ole boys, hard working men. And seeing as I'm rural, they come in handy. But I've lived a long life and will be going public soon as I've been involved with some pretty cool people over the years. We have a documentary coming out called Mind Traveler. I worked with Dr. Andrija Puharich for 15 years. The film is about him and his "space kids". Here's the story of the film, and yeah that's me in the poster and Puharich. Back in 1977 and then again recently in one of my interviews.....https://lab9films.com/portfolio-item/mind-traveler/
Hahahaha! What!? Emotional labor? What is that, exactly?
ridiculous. politial sepratist absurditity; the next stop after being paid to make mashed potatoes.
Garcia is 4442 and directly opposes your natal Uranus.
well that makes sense - in my Pisces stellium, trine my ascendant
So fun!!!!
This made me laugh!
Your corn bread made me hungry, heading for the kitchen to mull over your always excellent words for thought.
BTW: I have the asteroid Garcia conjunct my natal Psyche in the 12th house. Where's your Garcia?
I have to look that up -- I'll get back to you soon...

Men hold back for good reasons.
