July 31, 2025 video looks like computer generated to me. You promised not so.

Why are you commenting on an old Substack about my July 31 video? I said I do not use AI **to write my words, or come up with new ideas**. That's it. The video utilized AI editing of a photo to create a decorative background that moves instead of stays still. It is for a visual effect, within the already AI environment of YouTube, not for example to put me in Antarctica and you "can't tell the difference" because that's where I always take my vacations.

I also read the Google AI summary of search results, which I have said several times is great when you already know the answer.

I'm not here to be a religious purist, just a credible journalist. I do not pretend that its writing is mine. However, these systems have scraped thousands of my articles and added them to its memory and abilities.

I will continuing my inquiry into AI relationship robots begun a few years ago. I test AI for repetitive tasks and have never found it useful. I've made AI voice art for years, doing things like designing theatrical voices of ETs when I write the script and do the editing.

Anyone who uses the internet or digital tech is using AI whether you think you are or not, whether you consciously do so or not. That includes Photoshop, focusing mode in my cameras, "predictive text," talking to Siri or a map program, and so on. The core ethical and spiritual questions are, do you pretend it's your therapist? Do you pretend it's a boyfriend or girlfriend? Do you pretend its language is yours?
