I miss farm stands. I miss the visual imperfections of fruit and vegetables that haven’t been so toyed with that they’ve lost their distinctive tastes and aromas. Not to mention the friendly conversations.

now is probably a good time to move to where there are lots of farm stands & locally connected farmer's markets ... well, at least having one around will be certainly beneficial for these times. And for those of us who live around them, if we support them they will grow. Definitely feeling myself that as money is basically just energy in physical token form, putting our money where our mouth is changes our collective realities more directly than anything else.

Beautiful presentation, but Im willing to bet that this will become MORE available. We are spreading the word about the superior taste and cleanliness offered by responsible small farmers. And, don't overlook the sheer FUN of shopping in a farmers market compared to a supermarket.

I love my Farmers Markets in NZ - real organic food. We need to support these markets all the more given the current agenda happening globally! Love the photos

Beautiful photos! I work one of the Saturday farmers’ markets where I live. I love it! Local products right from the surrounding land made by the local people’s hands. I have had the opportunity to befriend my local farmers and makers and engage in the barter and trade culture of the market. Right now I am munching on a bag of fresh grown arugula and tatsoi as if it were a bag of chips thanks to my farmer friends.

taos NM has a wonderful farmers market every saturday, with music and sometimes mimes and stiltwallkers, dogs galore and lots and lots of vibrant food grown up and down the northern rio grande ancient acequia zones. being at the market is as nourishing as the wide array of food taken home

Beautiful reminder of my childhood - homesteaded family farm & weekly trips to the HUGE city farmers market roaming around there with my dad.

Thank you for the spark to remind me of those gifts 🙏🏼❤️

These photos are a welcome reminder of late harvest in Illinois, which I haven't seen for a long time while living in California (where it looks different--never really is a final harvest here)
